Teamwork

You hear it all the time.

You hang posters in the lunchroom touting it; you read book after book about it;  and yet…what is a team?

Teamwork is not just a group of people with common goals.  Empire building, power struggles, clashing personalities, group think, differing priorities, and goal creep can all combine to break the back of any team.

Interdependence is the outcome of the collaborative process we have championed.  Through collaboration we build an understanding of roles and responsibilities in any given activity and process.  To be a “true team’ every member, including the manager, sees the why, not just the what, behind their activities and outcomes.  This insight allows both the team members and the manager to work towards a win in the way that brings the most value to all involved.

True Teams

An Innovative Approach To Skills Development

True Teams

True Teams is designed to bring the various processes, skills, and behaviors of a team in line with the overall project and company goals and objectives.  After attending, participants will have basic tools and concepts to move toward better communications and goal alignment when dealing with business-line partners and company departments.

True Teams is a great first step in an overall corporate process or strategy change.  It can also be used for existing issues and conflicts that have arose from lack of communication and other issues.  The course covers:

· The Business’ Vision and Values

· Perceptions and Reality – The team-conversation model

· Engagement strategies and Practice Session

· Points of View and Practice Session

· Next Steps – Planning and Follow-up

· Personal Action Plans

This course designed to be a facilitated workshop.  The course contains customized real-world examples and exercises (taken from attendee assessments) designed to put the skills and competencies to work immediately.  The course also contains video and/or audio examples modeling these skills.

Attendees will be asked to complete a pre-work package that contains a series of questions around their current perceptions of teamwork and communication.  This will be used as a basis for the course goals and to reinforce the skill-set and True Team process.
